Additional Information : | The remains of this unidentified woman were found in a wooded rest stop/picnic area. The rest stop is located at on Highway 7, west of the Town of Rockwood, outside of Guelph, Ontario. The victim had been dragged approximately 10 metres (2.75 yards) into the nearby woods. Her body was then covered with a “Woods” brand sleeping bag. According to the subsequent police investigation, the clothing worn by the woman was manufactured in Montreal and other parts of Quebec. Police are treating her death as suspicious. In July 2008, a memorial plaque was placed at the location where the unidentified woman was found. The stone was provided by The Knights of Columbus Holy Name of Mary Rockwood Council 14201. |
