On July 9, 2003, Michael went to the Linklater hunting/fishing camp located between Cochrane and Moosonee.  The camp is located near mile marker 115 on the Ontario Northland  Railway line.  He was accompanied by his father and brother.

Despite numerous searches in the area, Michael has not been seen since 6:00 a.m. on July 13, 2003.
