The last known contact with Dustin was on the day of his disappearance. The following day, police located his black Dodge Ram truck was found in the parking lot near Days Inn in Sarnia. At the time, he was feeling despondent.

Surveillance footage shows a man who they believe to be Dustin parking his truck. After doing so, the man is seen walking south toward the waterfront.
