Additional Information : | On the day of her disappearance, Magdalena met her father for lunch in the Roncesvalles Avenue and Dundas St. West area in Toronto. She told her father that she was to meet with her estranged husband at 6:00 p.m. that evening. The couple’s one-year old daughter was living with her father at his parents’ home. Magdalena dropped her daughter off at the Ciesek residence. Although Magdalena has not been seen since April 2000, she was not reported missing to police until November 2003. Between 2000 and 2003, her family hired an investigative agency to help them find her. They were not successful. Since immigrating to Canada, Magdalena spoke with her sister in Poland every few days. She has not contacted her sister since her disappearance. Although Magdalena did talk about wanting to move to the United States, she did not have any definite plans made. Further, border checks did not show any indication that Magdalena had crossed into the U.S. |
