Additional Information : | Linda and James Terry Field left Lost Nation Airport (Cleveland, Ohio) en route to Brantford Municipal Airport in Brantford. Eighteen minutes into the flight, Cleveland Air Traffic Control received communication from the plane about severe turbulence and a request for new vectors to fly. The pilot was advised to turn west. Radio and radar contact with the plane was lost. The following day, debris was located approximately 32 nautical miles south of the St. Thomas Airport. Located in Lake Erie, the debris was drifting in a southeast direction and was recovered about one to three nautical miles on the Canadian side of the international boundary line. The debris was identified as having come from the missing plane by Terry’s brother. Terry and Linda are presumed to have perished but their bodies have not been recovered. |
