Additional Information : | On November 11, 1970, Edward and his son left their cottage on Kimberly Road, located on the north shore of Big Stone Bay, Lake of the Woods. They boarded a four metre (14″) fiberglass boat to travel to see a dock. The pair was expected to then return home. A search was undertaken and searchers located the Bucharests’ overturned boat. Two life jackets and other property were located nearby but neither Edward nor Barry were located. They are presumed drowned but their bodies have not been recovered. |
